Forest Village (Lapata)

In the near future, a "Forest Village" will be built in the area of Lapata. This village will be the only one of its kind in the Prefecture. Twenty well-made, appropriately furnished houses will soon be available for rent by groups of visitors wanting to stay overnight in the area (mountaineers, hikers, pupils of all school levels etc). Covered in fir trees, this area is ideal for visitors who want to get to know the natural environment of upland Peloponnese.

Game Farm

A game farm is located in the Municipal District of Kalousio. It is run by the Forestry Service of Patras and raises partridges, pheasants, deer, hares etc. The farm is hidden by dense vegetation, so as to provide the animals with growing and breeding conditions which are similar to those found in their natural environment. Visitors (school pupils, students, ecotourists, and ordinary visitors) can approach the animals and enrich their knowledge of the species of fauna of our country.
